A small, enthusiastic group gathered at Trude's Cafe on September 1st for an update about the Whaletown Commons Project. We have raised $17,000 this summer toward the purchase of the property. Our goal is to raise $150,000 by December 2006.

We invite you to join the many people who share the vision of community land in community hands. Talk to friends and colleagues about the project. Ask them to adopt an acre for $1000 and donate it to the Regional District. Consider making a substantial contribution and having a beautiful bench made for you by Hubert Havelaar.
